組壁 流水
Kumikabe “Ryusui”

組紐の世界に古くから伝わる結びや組み方一種の「引掛け」という技法から、繊維同士を掛け合わせることで1本では表現のできない文様を2本合わせることによって柄出しをした壁面の装飾です。見る角度によって組紐同士の重なりが変わり、印象に変化が起こるので多様な表現をもとに様々なイメージを作り出せます。それぞれを丸棒や角材に取り付けていく方法なので、1本ずつのメンテナンスや張り具合の調整が出来ることが特徴です。また、季節や周期によって上下のシステムに結ぶ組紐を変えることによって長く壁面装飾としてお使いいただけます。

This wall installation showcases the “hikikake” technique—an ancestral method of interlacing fibers in kumihimo tradition. By combining two cords, it creates a pattern that a single cord cannot express. The composition transforms with the viewer’s perspective, generating layered, shifting impressions. Each cord is mounted onto rods or beams, allowing for easy maintenance and tension adjustments. The cords can be replaced seasonally, offering lasting adaptability as a dynamic wall feature.
